Why Vocal Booths?

The quality of your recording depends heavily on where you record. In acoustically unfavorable rooms, room reflections and ambient noise are picked up directly by the microphone—and these “embedded” background noises are nearly impossible to remove later during mixing. Recording booths are the solution: They isolate the sound source from the room acoustics and ensure a controlled, clean recording.

High-density absorption materials dampen internal reflections, while heavy-duty soundproofing elements block external noise. The result is an absolutely “dry” signal. This allows you to capture the full frequency range and all transients—giving you the perfect foundation for your post-production.

The Right Vocal Booth for Your Setup

Our booths are designed to meet your specific isolation needs—from portable head booths to solid enclosures:

Head Booths: Compact, tripod-mounted units that isolate the immediate area around your microphone. Perfect for voice-over work and mobile setups where space is limited but you need clean high frequencies.

Vocal & PET Booths: Standard-sized portable booths made of high-density PET or polyurethane foam. They offer complete acoustic isolation with high NRC ratings and work equally well for singers and instrumentalists.

Isolation Booths: The heavy hitters. Made with MDF and multi-layered PET panels, they achieve an attenuation of about 27 dB. This lets you record or rehearse even in noisier environments without disturbing the neighbors.

Better Recording in Booths

Mic Depth & Proximity: In a head or vocal booth, the distance between the microphone and the back wall is important. Leave a small gap—this prevents the bass from sounding muffled and results in a more natural vocal reproduction.

Ergonomics: Make use of the features you have—magnetic music stands, headphone hooks, LED lights. If your setup is ergonomic, the singer stays focused and the energy stays in the recording.

Climate & Airflow: In soundproof booths, air circulation is essential. Use the ventilation openings or an active system to prevent the space from becoming stuffy. A sweaty, overheated singer cannot concentrate on the recording.
